Our representatives are the experts for the local markets and are a fundamental part of CMT. That is why we organized a dealer meeting to improve our collaboration in 2017. Due to the overwhelming success, the dealer meeting has become a fixed venue we are organizing every 2 years.

From the 5th to the 7th of November 2019, more than 25 agents from all over the world visited us to take part in this event. This year's focus was on the topic of diesel performance analysis with the new PREMET® units and the PREMET® Cloud, the IMO 2020 regulations and their impact, XRF analyzers and the brand new VA5 vibration analyser.

It has been 3 fully packed but wonderful and interesting days and we would like to thank our agents for the numerous and active participation. Our dealers made the meeting a big success.
If you want to contact your agent you will find him on our Dealer Network.

A condition monitoring strategy for conventional engines to optimise emissions

The renowned magazine "The Motorship" has published an interesting article about reducing greenhouse gases. The article is called "A Condition Monitoring Strategy for Conventional Emission Optimization Engines".

Optimising the performance of engines has been identified as a straightforward method of reducing the greenhouse gas emissions and operational costs of any seagoing vessel. While modern main engines are increasingly monitored 24/7 with an online system already provided by the manufacturer, the auxiliary engines are not always included and as a result can consume more fuel than necessary.

“The actual values of many diesel engines rarely correspond to the original settings from the shop or sea trial, which translates into performance losses,” explains Matthias Winkler, Managing Director of CM Technologies GmbH. “This manifests itself as increased fuel consumption, which increases operating costs. A poorly balanced engine often consumes up to two percent more fuel.”

To improve dealer coverage of the US CMT has appointed
ShipWorx, NJ 07751, US as distributor.
