CMT developed an innovative and easy to use Test to measure corrosive and abrasive iron in total in the cylinder scrape down oil. Together with our CDO BN device, which is adjusted to the useage with cylinder scrape down oil, the test allows to measure important parameters easily.

This allows to optimize the lubrication oil rate while minimizing the risk of cylinder wear.

Cold corrosion is a type of corrosion resulting from condensation of sulfuric acid on the liner walls and which deteriorates the liner surface. CMT has developed a reagent based test to measure the level of corrosive wear.
